Linking the Irish Environment report launch

New Common Charter supporters NI Environment Link (NIEL), Irish Environment Network (IEN) and Environmental Justice Network Ireland (EJNI), came together this month to launch an impressive and comprehensive report on the challenges and opportunities for environmental work on the island of Ireland. The Linking the Irish Environment report examines how the environment sector across the island of Ireland can cooperate and engage on an all-island and cross-border basis to deal with shared environmental challenges, risks, and opportunities. As a next step NIEL and IEN announced plans to establish a civic forum on environmental matters.

It was fantastic to see the New Common Charter championed at the launch as a platform for cooperation, and to have so many contributions to the discussion from fellow Common Charter supporters, including Social Farms and Gardens NI and Ecojustice Ireland.
