‘Creating, strengthening and retaining talent on the island of Ireland’ Conference

A major all-island event connecting leaders in education, business, policymaking and civil society will look at attracting, nurturing and retaining talent.

Early bird tickets are available for the conference which will examine “Creating, strengthening and retaining talent on the island of Ireland: Cross-border push and pull factors”.

It is the 26th annual conference organised by the Centre for Cross Border Cooperation’s 26th annual conference and it takes place on Thursday 17 September in Dundalk.

Anthony Soares, Director of the Centre for Cross Border Cooperation, said: “We’re interested in talking to sponsors interested in education, training and employment.

“We will be bringing together senior civil servants, and leaders in education, business and community and voluntary organisations to discuss the various journeys from education to the workplace. If this event is like our previous conferences, great conversations will take place from breakfast to dinner on 17 September.

“Our panellists will discuss influences on the choices that school-leavers make, challenges facing employers to retain talent, and engagement between educational institutions, employers and government departments.

“Delegates and sponsors will hear from specialists in training and education, employers’ organisations, researchers monitoring the all-island labour market and students undertaking post-18 paths.”
