Laura Mahoney

Laura Mahoney is Executive Director of Engagement at Dublin City University (DCU) and provides strategic leadership to enhance the development of key external partnerships and relationships to support DCU’s mission and objectives – including it’s strong connections with industry, employers, and global alumni.

She serves on the Senior Management Group and Executive Committee of the University and is a Director of Dublin Belfast Economic Corridor.

Laura joined DCU in 2021 from the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform where she led a team dedicated to implementing the “Our Public Service 2020” reform agenda, focusing on enhancing public service delivery and innovation.

She was previously Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Irish Academy, an all-island bridge between academia, government and business.

Laura holds an MBA (PG Dip), a Masters Degree in Political Philosophy from UCD and a BA from University of Sussex.
