The results of the 18th survey on the Conditions for North-South and East-West Cooperation have been published, covering the period April to June 2025.

Data sharing regulation, increasing salary differentials, support services for women on both sides of the border in relation to domestic violence, and clear concern for the racism and violence which has been directed at migrant communities are some of the issues raised by respondents in the latest quarterly survey results.

The Centre called on civic society organisations and local authorities in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to participate in this important quarterly survey series.

The information provided builds upon the results of previous Quarterly Surveys and help us to gain an understanding of the extent to which the necessary conditions for North-South cooperation are being maintained, and how relations between organisations on the island of Ireland and Great Britain are being safeguarded following the end of the Brexit transition period.

Aidan Campbell, our Research Programme Development Manager, said: “The survey continues to provide a valuable check on civic society organisations’ views on how the conditions for North-South and East-West cooperation are being maintained at grass roots level. We would like to thank our respondents. We couldn’t do these surveys with them and their valuable input is really appreciated.”

The survey report can be downloaded, please see below.

Aidan Campbell and Research Associate Dr Ben Rosher have recorded a presentation of the results, below.
