Maureen O’Reilly (Economist) and Gillian Doherty (Chief Operations Officer at Accounting Technicians Ireland) joined our webinar this week for a discussion on skills and qualifications.
Maureen focused on the skills and qualifications information gathered for the All-Island Labour Market study, which she authored with Annmarie O’Kane, Rose Tierney and Anne Devlin.
Gillian spoke about Accounting Technicians Ireland’s recently-launched cross-border apprenticeship programme.
The ATI qualification combines professional exams with practical work experience – the perfect business solution for the needs of organisations in the retail, industry, manufacturing, public sector and charity sectors.
ATI supports over 10,000 people working in the accounting profession in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Annmarie O’Kane (Border People Project Manager) welcomed attendees and moderated the discussion which took place after Maureen and Gillian’s presentations.
Maria Doherty, Programme Manager, Atlantic and Border Tertiary Cluster (Donegal ETB), attended the online event and said: “I would just like to say that it was an excellent webinar, so informative, in particular the developments with ATI in terms of their All-Ireland Apprenticeship, great work.”
