BORDER IRELAND Information Seminar

6 September 2004
Centre for Cross Border Studies, Armagh

The Centre for Cross Border Studies is currently developing BORDER IRELAND, an online searchable database of cross-border information produced by policy-makers, researchers, government departments, EU-funded programmes and other major organisations in Ireland, North and South. BORDER IRELAND will provide for the first time an electronic gateway to the full range of cross-border research and development material, publications, funding opportunities, organisations and other information available. It will feature research summaries which are easy to ready and understand, with an emphasis on policy relevance. It will provide contact details and hyperlinks to source materials to improve the flow of knowledge on cross-border issues between those who generate and those who use information.

The Centre has invited key players from Ireland, North and South to this seminar to demonstrate the potential of BORDER IRELANDusing some of the information we have generated to date. This seminar will provide a unique opportunity to express how the continued development of BORDER IRELAND could meet organisations’ cross-border information needs.
