North-West Education and Skills Development Seminar

On Friday 23 June, on the Magee campus of the University of Ulster, the Centre facilitated a seminar on behalf of the North/South Ministerial Council to hear the views of the higher and further education and business sectors on the education, skills and workplace development challenges in the North West. The seminar explored ways to enhance the contribution of the sectors to tackling these challenges, particularly through cross-border co-operation. The seminar was co-chaired by Dr Aideen McGinley, Permanent Secretary, Department for Employment and Learning, and Ms Brigid McManus, Secretary General, Department of Education and Science.
