Centre for Cross Border Studies Direct Ruth Taillon was interviewed by EuroNews on the 23rd June 2017 in Belfast. In the interview, Ms Taillon gave a background of the Peace Process and the effect which Brexit may have on it. Ms Taillon underlined the dangers of undermining the Good Friday agreement and threat to community relations which the decision to leave may cause. There was already been a rise in hate crime towards certain communities since the decision. The CCBS director also highlighted the benefits which membership of the European Union has brought to Northern Ireland including the funding which has been given to various areas within the country.
