Centre for Cross Border Studies’ 21st Annual Conference

Event Date – Friday 25th September

“Reassessing and Reconfiguring North-South and East-West relations in a changing landscape”

The 2020 edition of the Centre for Cross Border Studies’ Annual Conference, taking place on the 25th of September, is going online!

Make sure you save the date as a range of distinguished speakers will be discussing how we look at and reconfigure relations between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, between the island of Ireland and Great Britain, and between these islands and the wider world.

The Conference will consist of two sessions of approximately 90 minutes each. The first, in the morning, will address the theme of “Governance, Divergence and Convergence: Implementing the Ireland/Northern Ireland Protocol, UK-wide frameworks and future international relations”. The afternoon session will explore the theme of “Healthy co-dependencies: Coordination across borders in response to COVID-19 and beyond Brexit”.

The Centre are delighted to announce two of the keynote speakers for 2020 Annual Conference. Julian Smith MP will feature in the morning session with Professor Deirdre Heenan giving her keynote speech in the afternoon.
