Update from Under Secretary of State on protection of rights and equalities

CCBS was one of a number of organisations invited to Stormont House on the 20^th of January to be updated by the Under Secretary of State at the Northern Ireland Office, Robin Walker MP, on how the Withdrawal Agreement Bill would uphold the UK Government’s commitment to ensuring no diminution of rights, safeguards and equality of opportunity as set out in the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement as a result of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. CCBS Director, Anthony Soares, stressed to the Under Secretary of State the need for citizens to have clear and accurate information as to their rights, particularly for those who cross the border to work, study and retire, or to access services.
