North/South Student Teacher Exchange Evaluation Day – Year 2
Posted On: 27 Apr 2004
Friday 30 April 2004
Marino Institute of Education, Dublin
The purpose of meeting was to share joint perspectives on the North/South student teacher exchange initiative, which was organised by the Centre for Cross Border Studies under the auspices of the Standing Conference on Teacher Education, North and South. It was important to gather an honest account of how valuable and successful – or otherwise – the exchange had been. The exchange was evaluated in the light of the objectives the EU Peace Two Programme (the funders) had laid down for the project. The purpose of the morning was to hear the students’ views and the afternoon the lecturers’ views. The outline for the day’s activities is structured so as to provide this important information.
