Ms Emer Egan, Assistant Chief Inspector, Department of Education and Science in Dublin and Ms Christine Jendoubi, Assistant Secretary, Department of Education in Bangor opened the North/South Student Teacher Exchange Project (Year 3) Orientation Day in Froebel College of Education, Blackrock, Co Dublin on Thursday 27 January 2005.
The 2005 North/South Student Exchange Project involves 28 students from seven colleges of education: Stranmillis University College, Belfast; St Mary’s University College, Belfast; St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra, Dublin; Church of Ireland College of Education, Dublin; Coláiste Mhuire Marino, Dublin; Froebel College of Education, Dublin, and Mary Immaculate College, Limerick. The participating student teachers will spend three weeks – from Saturday 26 February to Friday 18 March 2005 – at colleges of education and in school placements in the other jurisdiction.
