North/South Public Sector Training Programme

Building on the success of four training courses in North-South cooperation for public officials in both jurisdictions (2005-2007), the Centre for Cross Border Studies – with its partners Cooperation Ireland and the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) – is offering a fifth course to take place between May and September 2008. There are 30 places available on this course, which will consist of four modules taken over six days (including two overnights) and will be hosted in the new Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dundalk. The four modules will be on North-South cooperation in the public and NGO sectors; North-South public finance and governance issues; North-South economic and business cooperation; and cross-border cooperation at local authority and community level. The deadline for applications is 1 May 2008.
