Second North/South Research Forum meeting

Cross Border Creativity & Innovation

The second meeting of the North/South Research Forum (NSRF), organised by the Centre with EU INTERREG funding, took place in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dundalk at 10 am on Thursday 24 June 2010.

The NSRF brings together researchers, policy-makers and funders every six months to discuss aspects of research which can be translated into practical cross-border cooperation in Ireland. The theme of this meeting is ‘Cross-Border Innovation and Creativity’.

It was addressed by

  • Michael Curran,  Louth Local Authorities’ Director of Economic Development and Future Planning, Transportation, Development Control and Enforcement ; [1.37MB]
  • Dr Maurice O’Kane, Chief Executive of the Clinical Translational Research and Innovation Centre (C-TRIC) at Altnagelvin Hospital in Derry and Head of Research and Development at the Western Health and Social Care Trust (C-TRIC’s work on innovative health technologies recently won it the 2010 Irish Times/InterTradeIreland cross-border innovation award) [1.16MB]
