The Minister of State, Mr David Hanson MP launched (at the Northern Ireland Parliament building at Stormont) the report of a research project on how the public authorities in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Scotland provide services for ethnic and immigrant groups in the three jurisdictions. This project was commissioned by the Office of First Minister and Deputy First Minister from the Centre, and was carried out by the National Consultative Committee on Racism and Interculturalism in Dublin (with Piaras MacEinri from University College Cork), the Institute for Conflict Research in Belfast and Organisation and Social Development Consultants in Edinburgh.
