The Centre for Cross Border Studies
is seeking an
EDUCATION PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR
The Centre for Cross Border Studies has been contracted by the EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation to undertake the Immigration, Emigration, Racism and Sectarianism Schools Project, a two year project with primary and secondary schools in Northern Ireland and the Southern Border Counties.
This project will begin in September 2006. It will bring together schoolchildren to learn about the indigenous cultures of Ulster and also about the cultures of the new ethnic and immigrant communities in both regions.
The Centre is seeking a project co-ordinator to lead, manage and facilitate this complex and demanding project. The person appointed will have a higher education qualification; significant primary and/or secondary teaching experience; and a high level of communication and inter-personal skills for working with schoolchildren and teachers. Experience of cross-border co-operation in an educational context is desirable.
