Diagnosing Brexit Impacts on Health

Ruth Taillon, CCBS Director, was one of a number of panellists at a seminar hosted by Pat Sheehan MLA at Parliament Building, Stormont on 13 September. Other speakers were Brian O’Hagan, a member of the Transformation Advisory Board and co-chair of the HSCB Carers Strategy Implementation Group; Dr Mark Flear, Senior Lecturer in the School of Law, QUB, an expert on the impacts of Brexit on UK health law; and Patricia McKeown, worker representative for Ireland on the European Economic and Social Committee and Regional Secretary of trade union UNISON. The panellists’ presentations were followed by a discussion with the audience that included representatives of a number of bodies representing health professionals.
