At the Centre for Cross Border Studies we know that helping to shape government strategy in order to foster and facilitate cross-border collaboration is ever more important in these changing times.
Given its expertise and the reputation it has established over two decades, the Centre’s work is sought after and engages directly with senior policy and decision-makers in both jurisdictions on the island of Ireland, as well as Great Britain and beyond. Our research and its practical application to public policy is at the heart of what we do.
From time to time we collaborate with researchers and experts from other places. We have found a wealth of knowledge and research that, at times, does not get the spotlight it deserves within the public policy field. We also know that there are many researchers who would like to have greater direct engagement with policy and decision-makers.
As part of its role in providing spaces for cross-border(s) dialogue, the Centre for Cross Border Studies would like to offer a free online platform for researchers and experts in cross-border issues wishing to expand their reach into the public policy sphere.
In the first instance, those joining our Cross-Border Research Platform will have the opportunity to provide short blogs or articles of about 600 words on key topics for dissemination to a wide audience of those with an interest and working in public policy.
Please get in touch with Dr Anthony Soares if your expertise and research lies in one or more of the following areas (from a cross-border/North-South perspective):
- Capacity building for cross-border co-operation
- Impact Assessment
- Citizens’ issues
- Participatory democracy/active citizenship
