On Wednesday 18th November, the Centre hosted the first in a series of two Public Policy Briefing Events. Held at Parliament Buildings, Stormont, the event provided an evidence-based briefing of key public policy issues which included:
- the potential socio-economic and political implications of Brexit;
- the provision of probation services north and south; and
- recent developments in cross-border mobility in Further and Higher Education.
The Centre was pleased to welcome representatives of the Probation Board of Northern Ireland (PBNI) and the Probation Service (PS) to lead discussions on the provision of probation services on the island of Ireland. The event, sponsored and launched by Stewart Dickson MLA, provided a platform for discussion on these issues between policy-makers and others in what was a very busy day at Stormont.
