CCBS invites you to a discussion event on the Implications of a UK Exit from the EU

Invitation to a discussion event on

“The implications of a UK exit from the European Union for Ireland and Northern Ireland”

at the Office of the Northern Ireland Executive in Brussels,180 Chaussée d’Etterbeek,1040 Brussels

2pm, Tuesday 13 October

You are  invited to an event bringing together a range of political representatives, policy-makers and organisations from the island of Ireland, Great Britain and the European Union to discuss the potential implications for Northern Ireland and Ireland of a UK exit from the EU.

Jointly organised by the Centre for Cross Border Studies, the East Border Region, the Irish Central Border Area Network, and the North West Region Cross Border Group, speakers will address several central issues, including:

  • Cross-border mobility
  • Constitutional implications (especially the 1998 Belfast/Good Friday Agreement)
  • What kind of European Union do we need?
  • Cross-border and transnational cooperation by local authorities
  • Agricultural development
  • Commerce and business
  • Regional growth

The event will include an open discussion involving elected representatives to the European Parliament.
