‘Interpreting the treasures of two eighteenth century libraries: maps from the collections of Armagh Robinson Library and Marsh’s Library, Dublin’
Dr Annaleigh Margey, Lecturer in History and Digital Humanities, Dundalk Institute of Technology presented the 3rd Annual Spring Lecture on Thursday 3 May 2018. Dr Margey is currently working on a cross-border project with Armagh Robinson Library and Marsh’s Library, Dublin to digitise, and exhibit, the map holdings of the two eighteenth-century libraries. She has written several articles on early modern mapping in Ireland, particularly on Ulster, and on the 1641 depositions. The Library was almost filled to capacity by the audience of 49 people, who enjoyed a reception afterwards in the Keeper’s drawing room.
