Prof José Luis Iparraguirre, Chief Economist, Age UK, give the 2nd Annual Sir George Quigley Memorial Lecture about “Economics: Helping to Make Us Human” on Thursday 22nd June 2017 in Queen’s University Belfast at Lanyan 1.52 on behalf of The Centre for Cross Border Studies. Ruth Taillon, Director of Centre for Cross Border Studies, opened the lecture by paying tribute to Sir George Quigley who has been justly recognised as the ‘father’ of practical North-South cooperation on the island of Ireland and introduced Prof Jose Luis Iparraguirre, Chief Economist, Age UK. Prof Jose Luis Iparraguirre, Chief Economist, Age UK, spoke to a diverse gathering on the “Economics: Helping to Make Us Human”. Helen Johnston, Chair of the Centre of Cross Border Studies Board, made a presentation to Lady Moira Quigley and thanked Prof Jose Luis Iparraguirre, for his presentation.
